Changing How The World Builds Pools

EZ Pool Planning & Site Guides

Before your pool arrives, these guides cover the decisions that affect how well it sits and how long it lasts, ground preparation, going in-ground, decking, and heating. Each one walks through real customer installations with photos, so you can see what worked and what to avoid.

Preparing the Ground

A standard 12'x17' EZ Pool holds about 50,000 pounds of water, and the ground underneath decides how level it stays. This guide covers why pavers crack, why sand fails as a leveler, and how to build a concrete perimeter that costs a fraction of a full pad.

Building a Deck on a Portable Pool

Three customer builds, start to finish: fully in-ground, partially in-ground, and on-grade with a flagstone surround. Photos of each stage show how the deck framing goes together around the pool.

Putting an EZ Pool in the Ground

An EZ Pool can go fully in the ground, partially in, or on top — the principles are the same. This guide covers high water tables, when a permit is and isn't required, and how the pool handles ground movement that would crack a concrete shell.

Heating Options for Portable Pools

Dark walls, solar covers, and an EZSun panel can each add free heat, and they work better combined. This guide also covers what to do in climates where the air drops below 30°, including one customer who put their lap pool inside a greenhouse.
